American Idol S6 Elimination Round 9
Ryan shares there were 45 million votes cast last night. The judges switched it up and Simon was seated in the middle for the first segment of the show. We saw a plug for the upcoming Idol Tour.
Pink performed “Who Knew” from her “I’m Not Dead” album. She was wearing a short spandex dress that really showed off her killer body. Her hair was in a cute, short blonde do.
The final four performed a Bee Gees medley. What a prolific group. This was not our idols finest hour. I guess I never realized how difficult their songs are to sing. I appreciate the Bee Gees’ talents even more now.
We saw baby pictures and heard the life stories of our idol wanna bes. Interesting that Blake, Melinda and LaKisha are all only children. How cute all of the contestants were.
Jordin was the first to be declared safe.
The silver haired Barry Gibb gave us a soulful rendition of the ballad “To Love Somebody”. I’ve given up on the idea of dancing.
Melinda is the next contestant to be given safety.
LaKisha and Blake are the bottom two. Blake is told to take a seat. LaKisha leaves us tonight. She capped the night with a tearful performance of “Stayin’ Alive”.
Semi-finals performances Tuesday and results Wednesday night on Fox.
