Eddie Murphy for Fantasy Island
Columbia Pictures needed somebody who could take on multiple roles in their big-screen adaptation of Fantasy Island and could think of no better than Eddie Murphy.
Fantasy Island is based on the popular TV series that ran from 1978 to 1984 and starred Ricardo Montalban.
Murphy will reteam with scribes Jay Scherick and David Ronn, who he last worked with on Norbit.
Murphy was recently nominated for an Academy Award for his supporting role in Dreamgirls. You can next hear him as Donkey in Shrek the Third.
