Heroes is one of those shows where everybody involved is trained to not reveal anything. They may give some good teasers about upcoming events, but you'll never get them to break. So it seems like big news that a major cast member revealed the subtitle of season two. Masi Oka may have said too much when he accepted his award for Best Actor on Television at the Saturn Awards.
Heroes: The Next Generation
"I know that Season One: Volume 1 was called 'Genesis' and Volume 2 is going to be called 'Generation,' according to Tim Kring," said Oka.
When Tim Kring accepted the award for Best Network Television Series, he didn't seem too happy that everyone was asking about "Generation." "Where have you seen that?" he asked. "It hasn't been on the air yet."
Well, it's out there now. Once you hear "Generation," it's not hard to imagine what season two might deal with. "Well, the idea of multiple generations have started to crop up on the show," Kring said. "In the second season, we'll deal with that more. So hence the title 'Generation.'"
Oka has already gotten to explore more of the Nakamura generations. George Takei returns to help Hiro out before the season finale. "Yes, next episode," said Oka. "It's going to be pretty fantastic. We get a little bit of a training montage there, like a karate kid thing."
Flashbacks have shown Kaito Nakamura involved with the secret company that employs HRG. He left Claire in his custody. Perhaps more of the Nakamuras will manifest powers.
"He might be part of the OWI, so we don't know," said Oka. "The whole OWI could be something bigger than we think. As they say, Volume 2 is called 'Generation.' What does that mean? Does that mean the past? There's going to be some more things with generations of the families or is it generation in terms of years, eras? Who knows?
We saw a little bit from Angela. We might see something from Micah, we don't know. Possibly. We might see."
