Danielle Harris was 10 when she made Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and made Halloween 5 one year later. Now she's in the Halloween remake as a completely different character. It's a very different Halloween for her.
Harris Gives Insight on Halloween Remake
"It's 20 years later," she said. "Weird. It's very strange. I remember the first time I was in the van with Tyler [Mane], he was sitting in the front seat and I was in the back, the smell of whatever the scarring on his hand and the earth dirt on his jumpsuit and a little bit of dried blood brought me weird crazy sense memory. Freaked me out and brought me back to when I was a kid. It was very cool."
Perhaps if the remake does well, they will eventually remake parts 4 and 5. "Wow, maybe my daughter will be able to play me in the remake of 4 and 5."
Halloween
Harris did get to work with Donald Pleasance in her Halloweens, so seeing Malcolm McDowell as the same character in the remake was a twist. "What's interesting, because at our table reading, Malcom as well as Brad Dourif have never seen any of the Halloween films. So it was interesting to see someone as talented as Malcolm McDowell portray Dr. Loomis in a way that is completely different than Donald Pleasance. Very different. Actually, I walked away going, 'I kind of have the hots for Loomis. This is really weird. This is a little different than Donald' but it was brilliant."
