Gerard Butler is taking a bite out of a new roll, at the other end of the acting spectrum.
Gerard Butler for Nim's Island
When you go from slicing and dicing Persians to acting opposite Jodie Foster and Abigal Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), you can be pretty sure that you are not just some muscle head like Vin Diesel. Ok, if you want to count, The Pacifier, be my guest!
Nim’s Island is the name of the new flick that is based on the novel by Wendy Orr that owns the same title. The story revolves around a girl who lives on a magical island but when her father’s boat is stranded away from home, she finds her own way by emailing with the writer of a book she’s reading. The storyline eventually leads the girl to have to save the island from over excessive tour companies.
Gerard Butler can still kick your ass.
The film is being directed by the husband and wife team of Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett and should start filming this July in Australia.
