The upcoming season finale of Heroes promises to involve all the characters and offer a kick-ass resolution to the first year, as well as a juicy tease of Season Two. Jack Coleman, who plays HRG, confirmed some of our expectations for Monday's episode.
Jack Coleman on the Season Finale of Heroes
"Big cliffhanger but what it really is is a fantastic resolution," said Coleman. "Then it springboards to something completely unexpected. I just saw it. It's so cool I can't even talk about it. It's just fantastic. It's like, what? What?"
Adrian Pasdar revealed that the last three minutes of the episode set up what Season Two will be about. Coleman confirmed, though he does not participate in that denouement. "In those first three movies, I am not involved. He is right, I am not involved in that, and it is fantastic. I just saw it. I just saw it yesterday and I'm telling you, people are going to go, 'What the- - what?' They're just going to love it. It's just so out there and different. It's very cool."
On a show that already runs several units and shoots three episodes at a time, the finale was the peak of complexity. "We were downtown shooting nights for the last couple of weeks, so it was kind of a blurry time in all of our lives but it was really fun because we sort of just shut down several blocks of downtown and took it over, that plaza. Everybody's powers come out. Everybody gets to do what they do."
As one character with no super powers, Coleman found himself in the middle of a slew of special effects. "A lot of special effects, yeah. It's very stop and go filming but it ended up, I had one really fun sizeable scene with Milo. Milo and I had never really worked together except in passing, but we have one really nice scene at the end."
