'Bradley' has alerted
us that, despite Universal Pictures best efforts, the MPAA will re-stamp
I Now Pronounce You Chuck
and Larry with the 'R' rating.
MPAA Gives I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry an Extra
'R'
The Classification and Rating Appeals Board today
upheld the R rating given to the movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck
and Larry. The Classification and Rating Administration (CARA)
had assigned I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry the R
rating for “some crude sexual humor and nudity.”
In an appeal brought by Universal Studios, the Appeals Board heard statements
on behalf of I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry from Director
Dennis Dugan.
The Classification and Rating Administration was represented by Chairman
Joan Graves.

Now we can only hope that Universal Pictures leaves
whatever scenes that are causing this R-rating and, even better, why not
add a little more 'R' goodness?
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry opens to theatres on
July 20th.
