There isn't a whole lot on the Apocalypto DVD. There is one deleted scene that features some animal carnage. A brief glimpse of more violence may be worth it to some of the fans. A four part behind the scenes piece covers all the basics.
Apocalypto on DVD
Scanning through the Mel Gibson commentary, there is a hint of zany banter in the beginning but they immediately decide to stay on point. The rest of the movie features straight, serious talk about very technical aspects like the Genesis cameras. It's like "inside their home movies."
