Andy and Larry Wachowski are hoping to (again) impress with their offbeat move to create a live-action version of Speed Racer. How to get fans of the franchise on your side? How about an authentically badass Mach 5?
Speed Racer's Mach 5
USA Today posted the first image (above) of the Mach 5 to be used in Speed Racer. As you have probably already noticed, the vehicle looks pretty sick.
Besides the image, the report also posts some quotes on star Emile Hirsch's excitement for the project.
"It was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen," Hirsch says by phone from Germany, where filming will begin next week on the movie adaptation. "That's when I started thinking it would be great to be on TV. And have one of those."
