Though the latest season of 24 only proved how overused the show's formula was becoming, one has still got to love Jack Bauer. Well, that is at least what Day Zero and Degree are hoping.
Early Jack in Day Zero
Fans of the FOX drama 24 won’t have to wait until the start of season seven to get their Jack Bauer fix. Day Zero will debut, immediately following this year’s season finale, thanks to an innovative 24 sponsor, the Degree Men brand.
Day Zero is an original, flash-animated online saga from the producers of 24 that chronicles an early adventure of Jack Bauer, one of TV’s most thrilling action heroes. The nine new vignettes, which will premiere at DayZero.com, feature a compelling narrative sure to grab the 24 fan base and casual watchers alike.
“Degree Men is all about protecting men who take risks, so we always look for opportunities to bring our brand to life through content men want,” said Sam Chadha, Marketing Director, Deodorants, Unilever. “There’s no better adventure than a new 24 saga that debuts right after this season’s finale.”
Day Zero
Day Zero is a never-before-seen glimpse at the life of Jack Bauer in the years and months before the television series began. In this groundbreaking online saga, fans will learn how he teamed with fellow agents Nina Meyers, Tony Almeida and George Mason to try and smoke out a treacherous mole working within the CTU. For the first time ever, viewers will learn how trouble in his home life with wife Teri and teenaged daughter Kim gave rise to his romantic entanglement with Nina, who famously was revealed to be the very mole he was searching for in the climactic season one finale.
Day Zero from the producers of 24, was produced by Icebox, a digital content studio specializing in flash animation.
“Day Zero extends the 24 experience to fans in a completely new and innovative way, said Elie Dekel Executive Vice President of Fox Licensing and Merchandising, 20th Century Fox. “This is the next step in the evolution of brand sponsorship of entertainment content. We’re proud to be at the forefront alongside our partner Degree.”
