Transformers is finally beginning to receive its due. When critics, publications, film and fan sites were posting their 'Top 10 Films of 2007' predictions at the beginning of the year there was only a couple that place the film in the top five - let alone the top ten.
I get it, it's trendy to tear up Michael Bay and not believe in any project he is working on; even though his films seem to entertain the box office gold right out of us. So here it is, with the 2007 MTV Movie Awards (aired tonight), the film finally got some real hype.

We don't have the entire winners list just yet, but figured it was worth mentioning that Transformers just took down the award for "Best Summer Movie You Haven't Seen Yet". If my memory serves me well -- which it barely ever does -- this is the first time the film has been given the #1 spot on any list; and this comes from the fans.
Wait, wait, I did list the film as my #1 in my own 2007 predictions.
On accepting the award, Michael Bay announced that he had only 'completed' Transformers three hours before the show.
