The Practice
David E. Kelley fans are rejoicing that two of his most acclaimed series are finally on DVD. The first season of Picket Fences and the first volume of The Practice with modest extras, but then the episodes themselves are all they wanted.
DVD Review: The Practice and Picket Fences
The Practice has a featurette on creating the show. Kelley, cast and crew speak about the show's mission statement, characters and the aesthetic of the series. It comes from old EPK interviews, because of the locations (and copyright date), but it's still relevant. It's a solid 18 minute piece.
Picket Fences has more recent interviews with some of the cast and producers. It's the same EPK stuff from Kelley and the same sort of overall feature. It goes through the whole four years though, so what are they going to do for season two?
The Practice comes to DVD June 12th while Picket Fences arrives to shelves on June 19th.
