The Golden Compass
Alright gang, I just finished the final (third) chapter in the "His Dark Materials" trilogy and I can only hope, no, pray that New Line Cinema does not suck out the strong religious tones in this film. Sure, it might make some viewers a bit uneasy when topics of God and religion get brought up, but this story excels at taking another look at the whole though process behind it. Hell, The Golden Compass is the first step of three that reinvents the idea of a God, Heaven and all that falls within.
Damn cool.
Anywho, we are only on the first installment and we still have to wait until December before we get to even that. To help hold us over, we have been alerted to some cool new footage for the film.
Production Footage: The Golden Compass
HisDarkMaterials.Org has alerted us to new production footage for The Golden Compass currently available in flash. The footage, which I can only assume will become a featurette shortly, gives us a great taste of how Chris Weitz expects to pull of the film's amazing visuals:
The Golden Compass comes to theatres on December 7th.
