An outbreak that causes blindness? Talk about panic. In an Outbreak-like tale, Mark Ruffalo has been cast to be one of many to fall ill.
Ruffalo for Blindness
Mark Ruffalo has been cast for Blindness, the adaptation of the Jose Saramago novel about an outbreak of blindness that sweeps an unidentified town.
Fernando Meirelles -- who last delivered The Constant Gardener and City of God -- will direct.
Scripted by Don McKellar, Blindness will have Ruffalo play a doctor who loses his sight along with everyone else in town, except (of course) for the doctor's wife.
Blindness begins shooting this summer in San Paolo, Brazil.
