Russell Crowe has established his own production banner, Fear of God Films, and is hoping to kick things off as producer with Dolce's Inferno.
Crowe Kicks Off Fear of God with Dolce's Inferno
Crowe optioned Dolce's Inferno, a spec script by Mark Staufer. Crowe will develop the project as producer, and does not plan to star in the film.
Dolce's Inferno is a contemporary romantic comedy that tells the story of a hardnosed L.A. gossip columnist who falls in love and watches his world spin out of control.
Crowe's move to produce is another attempt to branch out from acting. The actor-now-producer is also hoping to kick off his dramatic directing debut with Bra Boys, a feature adaptation of the documentary about Australian underground surf culture.
Even with Crowe gathering new job titles in Hollywood, the actor-now-producer-soon-to-be-director still does have quite a few acting gigs coming our way including Nottingham, 3:10 to Yuma and American Gangster.
