It is time to welcome Transformers to the bandwagon! Spider-Man 3 was released early with a midnight showing. At World's End went one step further with early 8PM showings (the day before release). Not wanting to be outdone, Paramount has pushed the official release of Transformers up to July 3rd (from the Fourth of July) and Michael Bay followed up by admitting there will even be 'special' showings the night before (July 2nd). Do I hear that correct? A two day push for Transformers? Most certainly sounds like it!
Transformers Early Showings on July 2nd
The good people at ComingSoon have confirmed with Paramount that these special showings will not only be limited to midnight. Like Pirates 3, Transformers will hit theaters as early as 8PM on July 2nd.
Though jumping on the bandwagon is usually something worth laughing at, the only thing I can think is 'bravo'.
Transformers two days early? How can I possibly complain?
Transformers opens to theatres on July 3rd and somewhat July 2nd.
