The Complete Matrix Trilogy
The Complete Matrix Trilogy makes a fine example of what high-definition DVDs are going to do for movies. Though I can't speak for Blu-ray, watching these three films on HD DVD is so good that I may now be willing to actually call the second two installments Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions. You know, instead of "Those Other Two Matrix Films".
HD DVD Delivers The Complete Matrix Trilogy
Alright, time to come clean. I watched the entire first installment and jumped around a bit in the second and third. You know, kind of like a highlight reel.
Anywho, all three movies look exceptional and the sound is beyond terrific. If The Fountain didn't sell me on HD DVD -- which it most certainly did -- this trilogy most certainly does (too).
Since there are sure to be a few of you still holding back on purchasing The Complete Matrix Trilogy, know that the 1080i format is a strong reminder on why The Matrix is one of the best sci-fi films ever made. Could there be any more reason than that to purchase it in glorious HD?
