Though Shrek the Third was not able to stand up against the two predecessor Shrek films, that is not stopping DreamWorks from making more. Head of DreamWorks Animation, Jeffrey Katazenberg, has popped up to announce when we can expect a Shrek 4 and Shrek 5.
Shrek 4 on 2010, Shrek 5 a Few Years Later
The Courier-Mail caught up with Jeffrey Katzenberg and discovered that the other two Shrek sequels are already underway.
AS Shrek the Third opens in Australian cinemas today, work already is under way on Shrek the Fourth and Shrek the Fifth.
Many of the 1400 artists employed at the DreamWorks studio in Los Angeles are busy working on the next two in the series.
"The fourth film will come out in 2010 and the fifth in 2013," says Jeffrey Katzenberg, the former Disney chief who a decade ago founded DreamWorks with his pals David Geffen and Steven Spielberg, and heads the studio's animation arm.
Katzenberg goes on to discuss the revolutionary advancements in CG animation and admits that each Shrek movie has taken about four years to complete.
