Andy Samberg and Isla Fisher in Hot Rod
Though we still got a couple months to go before its theatrical release, it looks like Paramount Pictures has begun to host early screenings for Hot
Rod. Since I love all of Andy Samberg's digital shorts on SNL and laugh my ass off during the film's trailer, I'd have to assume that the first screening report to appear online is positive, right?
Screening Report: Hot Rod
Of course it's positive! The good people at AICN got their hands on what looks to be the first early review for Hot Rod and it is completely positive. There is one catch, however, as the reviewer compares the film to Freddy Got Fingered. Hmmm, maybe not so positive.
I loved it! Completely ridiculous and over the top, just like you'd expect from the Lonely Island guys.
First a disclaimer -- I really like most of what Andy does on SNL with the digital shorts, including Laser Cats. I'm also one of three people on this planet who liked Freddy Got Fingered. So, if this turns you off, so will this movie.
But I laughed my ass off at it. My friends that it was completely retarded...
