Talk about the odd couple. Owen Wilson and Nick Nolte have been cast to star in the upcoming Ben Stiller-directed comedy Tropic Thunder.
Owen Wilson, Nick Nolte for Tropic Thunder
DreamWorks has picked up Wilson and Nolte to star in Tropic Thunder, a comedy about a group of actors who go on location to shoot a war movie, only to find that reality replicates their plot.
Still, who wrote the script with Justin Theroux and Etan Cohen, will also produce with Red Hour partner Stuart Cornfeld.
Wilson and Nolte are the cream in this talented cup of coffee, joining Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Brandon Jackson, Steve Coogan, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Jay Baruchel, Matt Levin and Andrea De Oliveira in the ensemble.
Wilson and Stiller are regular collaborators and recently starred together in Night at the Museum. Nolte can next be seen in The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and The Spiderwick Chronicles.
Tropic Thunder will enter production this summer in Hawaii and Los Angeles.
