Here's a first. Jack Black will team up with Todd Phillips for the upcoming Warner Bros. comedy, Man-Witch.
Jack Black for Year One
Jack Black and Todd Phillips are developing Man-Witch with Black in line to star and Phillips prepped to direct.
Based on a script by scribe Jay Reiss -- who is working off a pitch by Josh Stolberg and Bob Florsheim -- Man-Witch will feature Black as a schoolteacher who suddenly discovers he has witchlike abilities. Taken in by a coven, he is persuaded to attend a school for witches, only to discover that his classmates are all girls.
Black will add Man-Witch to his already-busy schedule that includes Margot at the Wedding, Be Kind Rewind, Kung Fu Panda and Year One, which Judd Apatow will produce for Columbia Pictures.
Todd Phillips is in pre-production on Men for Warners and is developing Old School Dos for DreamWorks.
