After creating amazing films to the likes of 300 and Batman Begins, Legendary Pictures figures they might as well extend their partnership with Warner Bros. until 2012.
Legendary Pictures Extends with Warner Bros
Thanks to Wall Street, Legendary Pictures has raised an additional $1 billion in skrilla and plans to throw that in Warner Bros' direction. Just like their original deal, Legendary will co-finance half of any movie it co-produces with Warner Bros. The production duo will continue to partner on seven to eight films a year.
So far their partnership has been one heck of an emotional rollercoaster. Though they found box office success with 300 and Batman Begins, they also hit some bumps in the road with The Ant Bully, Lady in the Water and Superman Returns.
With 10,000 B.C. and Where the Wild Things Are already in development along with Trick 'r Treat, Legendary will use their new money for projects like The Losers, a DC comics adaptation, and a bigscreen adaptation of the cult TV series Kung Fu.
