After pondering the role since April, Russell Crowe has finally committed to Body of Lies, where he will co-star with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Russell Crowe Buried in a Body of Lies
Though he is still waiting on a polished script for Body of Lies from American Gangster scribe Steve Zaillian before dotting his 'i's, Crowe is as good as committed.
He will play Ed Hoffman, the manipulative CIA boss who teams with operative Roger Ferris (DiCaprio) to trap a dangerous Al Qaeda leader by planting a false rumor that the bomber is in cahoots with the Americans.
Body of Lies will be yet another film that teams Crowe with Ridley Scott, who have worked together on Gladiator, A Good Year, American Gangster and Nottingham.
Can somebody say BFF?
Just in case you missed it, Ridley Scott will direct Body of Lies. Production is scheduled to begin this fall.
Crowe can next be seen opposite Christian Bale in 3:10 to Yuma.
