Nicole Kidman has found another project that will be both a starring vehicle and chance to produce. Kidman has teamed up with Fox 2000 and New Regency for Monte Carlo.
Nicole Kidman for Monte Carlo
Directed by Tom Bezucha, Monte Carlo will have Kidman play one of three Midwestern schoolteachers who ditch a disappointing no-frills holiday in Paris and pose as wealthy women vacationing in Monaco.
Sounds like something all the dudes out there will love.
Bezucha will also simultaneously direct Orbit for Fox 2000, a drama that revolves around a civilian who, after winning a trip on a space shuttle, awakens to find himself alone and adrift after the entire crew has died. The film, based off the John Nance novel, has been adapted into a screenplay by Sheldon Turner.
"The project is a totally different kind of film for Tom, but the core of the story is the relationship stuff he's so good at," Turner said. "The scope of the film is enormous, but at heart, this is a family drama about a guy who was in orbit long before he went into space, when he lost his son."
Bezucha has a history forming with Fox 2000 starting with The Family Stone.
Kidman is currently working with Hugh Jackman on the Baz Luhrmann-directed epic Australia for Fox. She will next be seen in The Invasion and The Golden Compass.
