Family Guy
Back in September of 2006 we talked to Seth MacFarlane about Family Guy and the possibility of doing a not-so Stewie Griffen Family Guy movie. Now, ten months later, with the release of The Simpsons Movie, MacFarlane has popped up again and has reminded fans that he could be working on a feature film down the line.
Seth MacFarlane Again Suggests a Family Guy Movie
Considering that I am a bigger fan of Family Guy or South Park than I am Simpsons, I can't help but wonder just what would be possible with a theatrical version of the show. Like the South Park movie, Family Guy will have tons of room to er, explore censorship.
When someone can also claim that The Simpsons Movie is brilliant after only ten minutes, one has to wonder what kind of bar is being raised here.
"It is looking like there could be a future life for The Winner. I hope it pans out," MacFarlane said, without providing specifics. "We have been trying to figure out how to do that and the series at the same time without the series suffering," he said about a potential Family Guy feature, adding that this is a challenge that also caused the Simpsons film to come about so late.”
To get production rolling, MacFarlane hopes that Ricky Blitt, creator of The Winner and a longtime ex-writer for Family Guy, can come back to start work on a script.
MacFarlane, however, does not have a single plot idea as of yet. Not a single idea? But you were thinking of this project a year back!
