Director Nick Cassavetes is looking to reunite with his The Notebook dreamteam which includes scribe Jeremy Leven and producer Mark Johnson. What does he plan to create? Another adaptation, of course!
Nick Cassavetes will direct My Sister's Keeper, a film that will feature Cameron Diaz in the title role.

After spending weeks circling the project, Cameron Diaz finally entered into negotiations on the project with a deal expected to be finalized shortly.
Diaz will play a former defense attorney who returns to the courtroom to defend herself and her husband when they are sued by their 13-year-old daughter for emancipation. The girl was conceived as a genetic match with the hope she could prolong her cancer-ridden sister's life.
Diaz has a couple projects that she is working on including What Happens in Vegas... with Ashton Kutcher and The Box, a horror film written and directed by Donnie Darko's Richard Kelly.
