Four Last Songs
You won’t be disappointed!
It’s a shame that I had never heard of the movie before I was asked to review it. Stanley Tucci was the lead and with all the success of the movie Once, I figured that another movie about love, music and laughter would do quite well
DVD Review: Four Last Songs
Well hot damn, was I right?!? Four Last Songs is one of those movies that as a guy you really liked but you just don’t tell too many other guys for fear of being laughed at. Since it’s set on a Mediterranean Island and we see the laid back life it’s hard not to get drawn to the idea of having an existence like that.
Larry (Stanley Tucci) is a struggling musician who wants to find the musical light living on the island of one of his idols but all he can muster up to be is a local piano player in a bar. As he tries to put together a concert to pay tribute to the composer who inspired him and has since passed, he runs into more problems he can handle from the composer’s widow, his muse, and not to mention the rest of the town.
It’s a serious feel good movie that I’m not ashamed to say that I thoroughly enjoyed. But I swear to God if you tell anyone..ANYONE!!!
