Superbad
Just in case some of you were deterred by the official reviews to Superbad released a few days back, there is always room to boost some confidence. Yes, these reviews were not as good as we have seen for the film -- which was expected -- so to pick up your spirits we have been alerted by 'Jona' to a couple more reviews to appear online that are straight from the viewers.
Screening Reports: Superbad
AICN has received a couple more early reviews for Superbad that, like other screening reports, are very positive. Most of the new reviews also take time to bash Knocked Up as a comparison; which is different.
Superbad is right up there. If you liked Knocked Up you are going to need to bring a defibrillator. It really is that funny. Like Knocked Up, it suffers from a few gaps in humor that drag the movie on too long. I’d love to see them cut 10 minutes, although that could be hard to do (More on that in a second). Despite that, this movie is going to rake in the cash. They’ll make back the 23 million production cost the first night.
I would say for me, that this was 10x funnier than Knocked Up and up there with 40 Year Old Virgin as far as minute to laugh ratio.
Superbad opens to theaters
on August 17th.
