Chris Parnell
SNL vets Chris Parnell and Rachel Dratch have joined the cast of Harold, a teen comedy starring Nikki Blonsky, Ally Sheedy and Cuba Gooding Jr.
Parnell and Dratch Join Harold
Parnell, whose popularity recently soared thanks to a small 'Digital Short' titled "Lazy Sunday", will play the high school gym coach who mercilessly torments the title character (Spencer Breslin), a prematurely balding teenager.
Dratch will play the teacher who forces the student to remove his hat, exposing his secret to the rest of the school.
Blonsky, who we have recently seen in Hairspray, will play Harold's fellow outcast. Cuba Gooding Jr. seems to have forgotten that he had once won an Oscar, and continues to do silly parts like, in this film, playing the school janitor. Gooding will also produce.
Ally Sheedy will play Harold's mother.
Chris Parnell can next be seen in the Sony Pictures comedy Walk Hard.
Dratch has a few projects coming our way including Spring Breakdown, which she also co-wrote and co-exec produced, My Life in Ruins and Love n' Dancing.
