An independently-financed drama, Trucker stars Michelle Monaghan, Nathan Fillion, Benjamin Bratt, Joey Lauren Adams and Jimmy Bennett.
James Mottern will make his directing debut off a script he wrote.
Monaghan plays a female truck driver who lives a careless life with no responsibility until she has to take in her estranged 11-year-old son after his father (Bratt) is hospitalized. Monaghan has been excited about the project ever since reading the script early, and has even gone forward to get training and a license to drive a tractor-trailer.
She will also exec-produce.
Michelle Monaghan can next be seen in The Heartbreak Kid opposite Ben Stiller.
