Picture it: Reynolds as The Flash
We have been talking about Ryan Reynolds playing The Flash ever since the start of 2005, back when he was officially attached to the role if it were to ever surface. Now, over two years later, it is easy to understand why Reynolds is no longer attached to a character that just couldn't come to fruition.
But wait. The upcoming Justice League movie could give the character just the break he has been looking for.
Ryan Reynolds Justice League and Flash Involvement
Reynolds could be back with The Flash, the superhero just won't start his career with his very own movie. During a discussion with MTV Movies Blog, Ryan Reynolds shows excitement for a character once thought dead.
“‘The Flash’ isn’t dead at all. There’s talk of it being a JLA movie, the Justice League having them all together. And then there’s other talk of doing a ‘Flash’ movie with [director] Shawn Levy.”
For an actor who’s no longer “officially” attached to play a role, Reynolds sounded very excited about the prospect of a Justice League film, “I’d love to see a full on Justice League movie done, the scope of which is just enormous. I think it’s something they can pull off.”
I had been hoping for Reynolds to be The Flash ever since the notion was suggested back in 2005. He has been orbiting this project for so long, how can he now let a role like this pass?
