Now that Southland Tales has both a release date, new distributor (Samuel Goldwyn Films) and a poster, it comes as no surprise that the film's official trailer would be next.

The good people at FirstShowing have discovered a few new SFX images from Southland Tales plus news of the trailer.
Richard has confirmed that the trailer will appear the first week of September both online and on television (not necessarily in the theaters yet). I don't however know the specific details, only that it's coming the first week. In addition to that exciting news, a few photos have appeared online that feature some of the newly finished special effects shots from the film.

Since I am a Donnie Darko superfan and went through a faze in college of getting hammered and laid all while watching Donnie -- well, maybe not exactly at the same time -- it comes as no surprise that I was stoked on Southland Tales when the first images began to surface. It has now, however, been too long in passing, and will take a strong trailer to bring me back on board.
Southland Tales opens to theaters on November 9th.
