The Simpsons- The Complete Tenth Season
A whole movie wasn't enough to satisfy my Simpsons craving this summer, so I was all over the 10th season DVD. All my favorite standards were there and the new material made me drool.
DVD Review: The Simpsons- The Complete Tenth Season
Each disc has a hilarious new animation with the 20th Century Fox logo, as well as skits with the characters relating the each disc's episodes.
Deleted scenes continue to include more high quality Simpsons one offs. There are plenty of explorations of redundancy, where characters go into action long after it is relevant, but usually with a perfectly good justification. Homer makes some inappropriate revelations to the family. Homer takes further beatings. We learn a few tidbits about supporting characters' personal lives. A few pop cultural stabs too. It's great stuff.
A preview of the Simpsons Movie DVD features a deleted musical number. The song is in the film's end credits, but it makes way more sense animated.
The commercials include the Pentium commercial which is one of the greatest ads ever. The CC's chips ads are great skits too. What's Butterfinger doing with all their banal commercials?
