Though it will hard to beat out the restricted trailer for Beowulf, Paramount is still trying. The studio has released a new TV spot for the film that shows even more footage from the film -- it's just too bad it isn't the 'R' type.

Beowulf TV Spot

I dig the added color, the hair textures all look great, but some of the eyes yes, eyes look kind of weak. Remember how in The Polar Express all of the people looked like they were returning from a recent visit to the taxidermist? Well, I still fear that Beowulf, though improved, might suffer from the same problem. When watching the new TV spot for the film, pay attention to this attribute; especially the dog. The beast's hair looks awesome, but in a freeze frame the damn thing looks stuffed with glass eyes.

Other than the whole eye issue, the TV spot for Beowulf looks great and allows us quite a few new segments from the film including a new shot of the dragon. It also looks like Beowulf's first impression on Jolie's character was to smite her from existence. Smart plan, but that bitch is quick!

Check out the TV spot for Beowulf at Quicktime.

Beowulf opens to theaters on November 17th.
