Though no fault of Owen Wilson's, suicide seems to be the topic of the month. Kate Bosworth has been picked up for Emily Young's feature adaptation of Paulo Coelho's best-seller Veronika Decides to Die.

Adapted by Larry Gross and Roberta Hanley, Veronika Decides to Die will feature Bosworth as a woman who wakes up in a mental institution after a failed suicide attempt. She discovers that she has a weakened heart and only days to live. The film follows her recovery as she finds true love and a newfound will to survive.
Founded by Sriram Das, Das Films was founded this spring with 15 pending projects on its line-up. Veronika Decides to Die is the first out of the gate for the banner.
Principal photography beings this winter in New York.
Bosworth, who found a larger fanbase with Superman Returns, will next be seen in 21 opposite Jim Sturgess and Kevin Spacey.
