Maria Bello
Though she looks great as a blonde, Maria Bello has been sporting the auburn hair as Mrs. Evelyn O'Connell for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Replacing Rachel Weisz, Bello explains that her Evelyn has received an overhaul and, instead of just being a librarian, she will have a more adventurous side.
What, fighting an ancient rivalry wasn't adventurous enough?
Maria Bello Talks The Mummy 3
Sci-Fi Wire caught up with Maria Bello to discuss the changes she will bring to Evelyn O'Connell for this third The Mummy installment.
"She has the same name, but she's a very different character than Rachel played," Bello said in an interview. "She's a bad-ass action chick. I had to train a lot. I had to do wushu, a martial-art form, some kickboxing, swordfighting, rifle training for a couple of months before we even started shooting." Bello added: "It's the role of my dreams. It is just a blast."
Bello admits that she has taken a beating on set of Tomb of the Dragon Emperor including a shiny black eye from the butt of a Winchester rifle.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor has a set release for August 1st, 2008.
