Though a year of wondering what the hell happened to Southland Tales remains at the back of my mind, I have to give the project credit for taking the appropriate steps to remind audiences that the film still exists, does have an official release date, and, best yet, is directed by Darko's Richard Kelly.
Movie Poster: Southland Tales
Southland Tales is an ensemble piece set in the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles on July 4, 2008, as it stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster. Johnson will star as Boxer Santaros, an action star stricken with amnesia whose life intertwines with Krysta Now (Gellar), an adult film star developing her own reality television project, and David Clark (Scott), a Hermosa Beach police officer who holds the key to a vast conspiracy.
While the first poster (back) featured namedropping and little more, this new poster gives a lot to look at. We got shots of the cast, a couple stills of the film's setting, and what looks to be a poster inside a poster. I like it!
