Bay has recently popped up on his official forum to give the latest on Transformers
and Transformers 2. One project comes with good news while the other, well, not so much.
Transformers at IMAX, Transformers 2 Gets No Rush
First the bad news:
With other studios rushing to get their tentpoles complete before the trifecta strike supposedly coming our way next spring/summer, Michael Bay
feels the best option for Transformers 2 is to jump ship on the project and wait until Hollywood calms down a bit.
Transformers 2, well that's another story. Iching to work pre-strike (June) so I might jump ship and come back a year or so later cause people at the studio have been dragging for two months. Not sure why. I'll keep you informed.
The idea of delaying Transformers 2 has been mentioned before, but it now looks like Bay finds the notion to be a good one.
Transformers IMAX Poster
The good news:
Michael Bay has seen a cut of the IMAX Transformers and he thinks it looks 'freakin AWESOME.' Though I'm still not entire sure about re-entering theaters to see the film for another go, at least there is sure to be improvement here.
Transformers opens to IMAX
on September 21st.
