Boy, everyone's just acting up a storm on Aliens in America. Scott Patterson is playing the dad off the cuff and Adhir Kalyan isn't Pakistani unless you go a century back up his family tree. Now we find out that Dan Byrd never even really went to high school.
Byrd Talks High School and Aliens in America
"I have no firsthand experience because I've been acting since I was very young and I didn't experience a normal high school upbringing," said Byrd. "I went through regular school through ninth grade. Then at that point it just became a little too rigorous, going back and forth."
At least he had some experiences being an outsider that last year. "My first year of high school, I tried to go to a normal school whenever I wasn't working. It's the one time in my life where I've had genuine problems meeting people and making friends. I think it mostly attributed to the fact that I wasn't there and I didn't know these people. I kind of experienced some of that."
Then try moving to Hollywood. "I'm from Georgia and I had a really comfortable set of circumstances there. I had a really great, supportive family and friends that I had sort of grown up with. Then when I came out here, it just sort of flipped that whole situation on its head and all of a sudden I was kind of an outsider."
