The cast of Avatar has found another terrestrial with Giovanni Ribisi. He will join a cast that includes Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez.

Ribisi will play a passive-aggressive character named Selfridge.
About a band of humans who rub shoulders with a distant planet's indigenous inhabitants, Avatar has been given a whopping $190 million budget with a release date set for May 22, 2009. The film will feature a blend of live-action and a new, virtual photorealistic technique invented by Cameron and his team. How does this new technique work? Can't say, but we are told it involves "synthespians" or, in layman's terms, computer-generated actors.
Cameron will direct Avatar off a script that he also wrote.
Avatar marks Cameron's first feature film since his Oscar-winner Titanic.
