Just when Picturehouse had begun to get aggressive with Run Fat Boy Run by releasing the film's first poster and trailer, the studio has decided to hold onto the film until 2008.
Release Pushed: Run Fatboy Run
Originally set for October 26th, Picturehouse has announced that the film will relax for about five months and instead enjoy a March 28 release.
Run Fatboy Run centers on a charming but oblivious overweight guy who leaves his fiancee on their wedding day only to discover years later that he really loves her. To win her back, he must finish a marathon while making her realize that her handsome, wealthy fiance is the wrong guy for her.
Why the push? They aren't saying. But one can't help but notice how the fall season's schedule is chalk full of wide releases. Maybe October was just too competitive?
Run Fatboy Run opens to theaters on March 28th, 2008.
