'Ksr' contacted us with some other interesting points around Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the upcoming live-action series.
While the CG-animated series is almost halfway done, one has to wonder how far the live-action version has come along. Not far according to 'Ksr', as the live-action version won't have scribes writing a script until the end of this month or the beginning of next month. Since the live-action version is more of a character story -- or so we're told -- these scripts won't (likely) be complete till the next New Year. 2008 was the original prediction for the live-action version? Don't count on it!
While the news is shocking, here is something that is even more surprising.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is halfway done and, according to Lucas, the animated series has yet to find a network willing to pick them up.
You're freakin' Star Wars, which is an immediate guarantee! When Lucas told TV Guide that his CG-animated Clone Wars was a mixture of events that lead to PG-13 material, he was forced to admit that the genre was a hard one to pick up. Who's the target audience? Though 'Ksr' claims this has been a troubling concern for Lucas, it's freakin' Star Wars!
Shouldn't be much longer -- New Year perhaps-- before somebody picks up the series. My guess is on Fox.
