Here is an interesting pairing. Morgan Freeman and Antonio Banderas have been picked up by Millennium Films to co-star in The Code, a caper drama directed by Mimi Leder.

Based on a story by Ruben Leder, The Code will have Freeman portray a veteran thief who recruits a younger crook, played by Banderas, to help him pull off one final job in order to repay his debt to the Russian mob.
Ted Humphrey penned the script. First Look Studios will handle domestic distribution.
Production on The Code is set to begin mid-October in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The Code is another big addition to the Nu Image/Millennium slate, which includes John Rambo, starring Sylvester Stallone, and Righteous Kill, which teams Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.
