Big developments around Indiana
Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, though they have nothing to do with the actual film. Just in case you have been disconnected from the internet today, here goes:
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Gets Raided
Note to self: do not steal anything from Paramount or Steven Spielberg. The studio has freaked on me a couple times for posting content a bit early so one can only imagine what Spielberg's enforcers are willing to do when the real shit goes down.
(They were, however, way cooler than LucasFilm. What a bunch of dicks!)
What's the 'real shit' you ask? Some person -- we don't know if it was a man or woman -- broke into Spielberg's office (at the set location?) and jacked over 2000 production stills, a budget breakdown and other sensitive materials from the production of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
High budget franchise with classified materials on the loose? Call in the FBI!
No joke, according to IESB, Paramount flexed its muscles and, within a day, had Los Angeles County Sheriff working with the FBI to recover what was taken. That's right, the content-thief just became most wanted.
Fortunately for Paramount and tax payers like you and me, the thief wasn't all that hard to find. Trying to make a quick buck, the thief started making calls to big media outlets to put the stolen possessions up for sale. How much? A weak $2,000 -- Spielberg was infuriated at being undervalued so. (mind the sarcasm)
TMZ immediately bit and tried to get the property prepped for their TV series. Paramount lawyers, however, had different plans and quickly stepped in on TMZ.
The thief was eventually caught during a sting operation while he/she was trying to meet with a member of the online press. Not thinking like an outlaw, the thief was in possession of the stolen property.
Stupid! You hide that shit and, if caught, you ransom it for something like front row seats at the red carpet premiere of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull!
What? Can you think something better?
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull opens to theaters May 22nd, 2008.
