The Invisible
The Invisible is everything I heard it to be. A film that could have been compelling gets too confused on what it wants to be, and somehow avoids catching the viewer's attention. I wasn't surprised to discover this, as the critics weren't too kind to this film during its theatrical release. Realizing that it would take more than just the story to get people to purchase The Invisible on DVD, Hollywood Pictures and Buena Vista added some interesting special features.
DVD Review: The Invisible
What new additions come with The Invisible? Though an addition 13 minutes of deleted scenes is always nice to have, I got the biggest kick out of the included music videos. In what I'd like to think as an addition six minutes, and easily the DVD's best addition, we can watch the music video of The Kill from 30 Seconds to Mars -- sung by actor turned singer Jared Leto -- and Taking Back Control by Sparta.
Sparta was alright, but The Kill will be the better selling point.
The DVD also comes with audio commentary from Director David Goyer, writer Christine Roum and writer Mick Davis. Since the story was flawed, I didn't really need to hear how they came up with certain aspects.
The Invisible hits shelves October 16th on both DVD and Blu-ray.
