Hitman
It turns out that Fox execs have seen cuts of Hitman and aren't happy. What's the problem? Well, this does sound strange, but it seems that the film is too -- what word fits -- Hitmanee. When Fox agreed to adapt an uberviolent video game they didn't think that it would be violent.
What?!
Fox Assassinates Hitman, Shooting for PG-13
At least somebody had the fans in mind. According to TwitchFilm, Xavier Gens might have been removed by Fox to edit down Hitman. The current version of the film is supposedly violent, bloody and features a plethora of gruesome head shots -- everything we'd expect from the adaptation. Fox isn't buying it, as the Hitman game they remember had fluffy dinosaurs in it. Who knew!
Though not confirmed, water cooler rumors claim that Fox is going to everything they can to edit Hitman away from what would easily be a hard R rating. PG-13 in fact.
If Hitman does turn out to be PG-13, let me be the first to throw all leftover confidence in this film right out the window.
Who will be replacing Gens? For only being rumors at this point, we have been told a name -- Nicolas De Toth.
Who is Toth? The same dude that numbed down Live Free or Die Hard. He's a pro, and we don't want him!
Hitman opens to theaters on October
12th.
