You know you're getting big when you can garner immediate attention around one of your pitches. 300 director Zack Snyder, who is busy at work on Watchmen as we speak, has brought back the 300 team including screenwriter Kurt Johnstad and Hollywood Gang for The Last Photograph, a drama based on an original idea by Snyder.
Snyder to (Possibly) Direct The Last Photograph
The Last Photograph revolves around a photograph that becomes the catalyst for a journey two men undertake through war-torn Afghanistan.
Johnstad has been given the responsible of writing the script as a potential directing vehicle for Snyder.
The goal will be to create the film and then auction it to the studios.
Snyder has become Warner Bros' new go to man. After successfully adapting 300 to the bigscreen, Snyder is currently directing Watchmen for the studio plus developing Army of the Dead, an adaptation of the Ray Bradbury novel The Illustrated Man. Just when it sounds he couldn't be busier, Snyder is also working on Sucker Punch, an action fantasy he is writing with Steve Shibuya.
Hollywood Gang, who are also set up at Warner Bros, are looking to adapt the Warren Ellis graphic novel Ocean, as well as a remake of 1978 British adventure film The Wild Geese, with Rupert Sanders directing. The banner is also working to adapt another Frank Miller graphic novel, Ronin.
