Last week when we were told that Cage would be starring in The Wrester, I pointed out that the only way this project would become interesting is if Darren Aronofsky decided to direct.
His banner, Protozoa Pictures, was in charge of development, so it only seemed like the right thing to do. One of our good readers, 'Sha1', who has a great attention to details, noticed my comment on the project and has alerted us that it does in fact look like Aronofsky will be getting behind the camera for this one.
Darren Aronofsky Likely to Direct The Wrestler
The good people over at ComingSoon have learned that Aronofsky is most likely -- not confirmed -- going to direct The Wrestler.
The Wrestler is in development at Darren Aronofsky's Protozoa Pictures, and now it appears that Aronofsky will direct as well.
With Aronofsky on board all I got to say is that this film better trip my ass out. With films like PI, Requiem for a Dream and The Fountain, my expectations of the director are no doubt skewed (in a great way).
Since I had hoped for Aronofsky to direct and that looks to be working out, I better make another hopeful prediction right now. What to hope for...
In order to make my life a helluva lot more interesting, I better win the lottery come this Saturday.
