Woody Allen's upcoming project starring Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem has been described as a "love letter to Barcelona." No wonder the film's official title has the location somewhere in it.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona will be Woody Allen's third film out of the last four with Scarlett and the project is the fourth consecutive production that the director has shot outside the US. All of Allen's previous films were shot in London and his latest project will shoot both in Barcelona and Asturias.
The project is set for release in Spain in fall 2008.
