The first trailer for Stephen King's The Mist was almost great. Actually, it was looking like one heck of a horror until the Octopus arm came out. Can only a couple seconds from a two-minute trailer ruin it? It would certainly seem so.
Not dissuaded, MGM is trying again with a second trailer for The Mist that gives more and, thankfully, a little less.
Stephen King's The Mist Trailer
Three-time Oscar®-nominee Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption) reunites with horror-master Stephen King to write and direct this chilling adaptation of the author's original short story. Following a violent thunderstorm, artist David Drayton and a small town community come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist.
The new trailer for The Mist introduces how David Drayton and his son end up at the store. The cinematography looks fantastic, as do the special effects.
MGM also takes an added risk by allowing a character to suggest exactly where this Mist is coming from.
It's science...
